PowerPoint PowerPoint format

Microsoft makes PowerPoint viewers available for both Windows and Macintosh platforms.

Windows Viewer: office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/Ppview97.aspx

Macintosh Viewer: www.microsoft.com/mac/download/office98/powerpoint98viewer.asp

Users of Windows, GNU/Linux or Solaris may wish to use Sun OpenOffice.org which contains a program to view/run PowerPoint presentations. In the case where an appropriate PowerPoint viewer is not available, the HTML and/or PDF versions will provide adequate replacements.

ZIP files

Some documents are "zipped" - usually where HTML documents are provided with many pages and images. Modern releases of Windows contain built in software for decompressing archives, however not all users will have one.

InfoZip, is completely free and available on almost all versions of Unix, VMS, OS/2, Windows 9x/NT/etc. (a.k.a. Win32), Windows 3.x, Windows CE, MS-DOS, AmigaDOS, Atari TOS, Acorn RISC OS, BeOS and Mac OS. In addition, graphical frontends are available for Windows and Mac OS
